The Sognefjord, 204 kilometres long and up to 1308 metres deep, is a true nature reserve. It is the longest fjord in Europe and the second longest in the world, for this reason it is called the "King of the Fjords" in Norway. Sognefjord has several magnificent waterfalls that fall cascading down the steep cliffs. Some of them are among the highest in Norway.
A cruise along the fjord offers stunning views of old farms and idyllic villages that have remained pristine for centuries.

You can start your cruise from either Flom or Gudvangen. Departing from Flom, the ship will pass through the picturesque Aurlandsfjord and continue along the narrow Nereifjord to the inner part of Gudvangen. The journey takes about two hours one way. When departing from Gudvangen, the route will be in the opposite direction. To return to the departure point, it is recommended to pre-book tickets for a suitable shuttle bus.

The Western Norwegian fjords Nereyfjord and Geirangerfjord were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005.
