We invite you to explore Stockholm on an engaging walking tour through a city where the quiet of medieval alleyways meets the lively atmosphere of open squares, and royal palaces rise above the waters of Lake Mälaren. Architecture and nature, history and culture, world-class museums — all come together during this four-hour tour of central Stockholm and Djurgården Island

The tour begins at the magnificent Stockholm City Hall, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. For nearly a century, it has hosted the annual Nobel Prize Banquet. You will hear about the secrets of this iconic building and the ceremonies held within its walls, while enjoying panoramic views of Lake Mälaren and the city skyline from the waterfront — a view that perfectly captures Stockholm’s unique relationship with water.

Next, you continue to Riddarholmen Island, where you will see the striking openwork spire of Riddarholmen Church, the burial place of Swedish monarchs. From here, you move on to the historic heart of the city — Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town. Narrow cobblestone streets, colorful 17th-century buildings, and historic squares bring you back in time. Your guide will reveal hidden courtyards, charming city sculptures, and the stories behind ancient façades and runestones — including who grants wishes in Stockholm and how to make one come true.

You will also see the impressive Royal Palace, one of the largest palaces in Europe and still the official workplace of the Swedish monarch. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the King, who comes here daily for official duties.

During the tour, we’ll pause for a traditional Swedish fika — a cup of coffee and a freshly baked cinnamon bun — the perfect way to relax and experience a beloved local tradition.

The tour concludes on Djurgården Island, a peaceful green oasis in the heart of the city. This island is home to Stockholm’s most famous museums, including the legendary Vasa Museum and the world’s first open-air museum, Skansen. If you wish, you may visit one or more museums accompanied by your guide.

This tour is an ideal way to experience all sides of Stockholm in just four hours — from its medieval core to its cultural and natural treasures.
